The Lord of Glory

B.B. Warfield

Version 1.0 - December 2007

E-text Editorial Notes:
The electronic images and supporting HTML of The Lord of Glory were prepared by Dave Sherrill, Director of the Christian internet ministry Christian Research and Evangelism (C.R.& E.). You can find my website on the internet at Christian Research and Evangelism or you can email me at daveatjude3@msn.com.

The Lord of Glory  is not yet available on the internet as an e-text. I hated to see such a helpful volume fall into obscurity and disuse. I want to make it available to as wide an audience as possible, especially Christians like myself who do not readily have access to printed copies of it in college or seminary libraries. I originally attempted to OCR the text and then clean up the resulting output but due to the odd way that the original publisher formatted the verse references and also due to the Greek letters employed, this approach proved to be quite impractical. Rather than delay its availability due to those obstacles, I decided to image the book using my scanner and place it online.

The pages are arranged individually and can be perused on your screen or printed for reading . I recommend that you print out the table of contents and possibly the index and keep them handy. Using them will allow you to go immediately to the section of the book that you want to read.

There are many shortcomings to using this image-based approach, including the fact that the text cannot be electronically searched. The supporting HTML is not pretty, nor is it sophisticated, but this was intentional. I wanted to put something together that was as basic as possible to make it compatible with future computers for as long as possible. All of these deficiencies do not outweigh the benefit provided by getting the material published in a usable format. In other words, it might not be pretty but it works.

The reading of this study will lead to a more detailed knowledge of Christ. It is my great hope that an increased knowledge of Christ will be accompanied by an increased love for and obedience to Him who has died for us.

Please share your opinions and suggestions.
